PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
NC-Defoamer-S additive is a liquid defoaming agent formulated with higher esters to control foaming in all water-based drilling fluids containing freshwater, brackish water, seawater, saltwater, and saturated saltwater, as well as completion fluids.

APPLICATION
- NC-Defoamer-S is a wide‐application product that reduces the foaming tendencies of water‐based muds. It is compatible with freshwater muds, brackish water muds, seawater muds, saturated salt muds, brine completion systems and all common mud additives.
- NC-Defoamer-S is easy to mix, works quickly, is effective in low concentrations and is a more persistent defoamer than alternative products.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
- Normal treatments of NC-Defoamer-S range from 0.10 to 0.20 lb/bbl (0.29 to 0.58 kg/m³).
- When preparing brines, a pre‐treatment of 0.25 lb/bbl (0.72 kg/m3) of defoamer is effective in preventing foaming.
PACKAGING
NC-Defoamer-S is available in 55 US gallon (208.19 l) drums, palletized as 4 drums per pallet.
