Fluid Loss Reducer

NC-TEMP

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NC-Temp thermally stable synthetic polymer is used as a filtration control additive for a wide range of water- based drilling fluids, from freshwater to saturated sodium chloride systems. It also can be used in lime, gyp, seawater and KCL systems.

PHYSICAL & CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Appearance White Soild Powder
pH 7 (1% aqueous solution)
Specific Gravity 0.94g/cm3
Solubility Water soluble

APPLICATION

NC-Temp additive improves downhole filtration control and reduces the build-up of filter cake in water based muds. It reduces both API and High-Temperature, High- Pressure (HTHP) fluid losses and improves filter-cake texture. It can impart enhanced rheological stability to high-temperature muds. Otherwise, the effects of NC- temp on viscosities, either up or down, are minimal.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

It is thermally stable up to 400°F (204°C), which is sufficient for most drilling applications.

Depending on filtration-control requirements, typical concentrations of NC-Temp range from 1 - 8 lb/bbl (2.85 - 22.8 kg/m3).

PACKAGING

NC-Temp is available in 25 kg multi-ply paper sacks, palletized as 40 sacks per pallet.
