PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
STARCH PRESERVATIVE is a very cost-efficient biocide applicable in all water-based drilling fluids. It consists of polyoxymethane which is formed by polymerizing formaldehyde.

APPLICATION
Starch Preservative effectively stops the biological decay of all anhydroglucose-based polymers. It may be applied in all water-based drilling fluids having little or no effect on the rheology or chemical composition of the system. It not only acts as a biocide, but also increases the temperature stability of the polymers by cross-linkage.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
STARCH PRESERVATIVE is initially added to the drilling fluid in amounts of 0.05 - 0.1 lb/bbl (0.15 - 0.3kg/m3); depending on the salt content and temperature of the system.
PACKAGING
Starch Preservative is available in 25 kg multi-ply paper sacks, palletized as 40 sacks per pallet.
